Calling All 4th–8th Grade Homeschool & Microschool Families!

Iron Village Preparatory Academy is opening its doors this September for two high-impact, hands-on workshops. Designed to build real-world confidence, culture, and career skills, these events give students practical experience while offering parents a look into our innovative middle school model.

Spanish Social Hour

In Partnership with Bilinguatherapy

Kickoff Event! (Recurs the last Thursday of every month)

Give your student a supportive environment to practice conversational Spanish outside the classroom. Facilitated by Tia Javier of Bilinguatherapy, students engage in interactive games and structured table talk while enjoying cultural snacks.

All Spanish speaking levels welcomed—from total beginners to fluent speakers!

• Who: Grades 4th–8th (Beginners to Advanced)

• Cost: Free (Registration Required)

• What to Expect:

  • Guided conversational language practice tailored to your child's experience level

  • Interactive vocabulary building and cultural trivia games with guest facilitator Tia Javier

  • Complimentary cultural snacks

"Dress to Impress" Youth Interview & Leadership Clinic

Equip your child with essential life skills that build self-assurance. Students will learn the fundamentals of professional communication and practice 1-on-1 mock interviews with visiting business professionals.

• Date: Monday, September 28

• Time: 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM

• Who: Grades 4th–8th

• Dress Code: Business Casual / "Dress to Impress"

• Cost: Free (Complimentary Lunch Included)

• Schedule:

  • 11:00 AM – 12:30 PM: Workshop on body language, eye contact, handshakes, and resume basics

  • 12:30 PM – 1:00 PM: Networking lunch with guest mentors & 20-minute parent briefing

  • 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM: 1-on-1 mock interviews & direct feedback coaching

What Parents Can Expect

These workshops are designed as dual experiences for families. While your student participates in the workshop, parents join Iron Village leadership for a relaxed, 20-minute Vision Presentation.

During the briefing, you will discover:

• How our microschool model balances academic rigor with real-world application

• Our small class sizes and personalized learning pathways

• Admissions details and enrollment opportunities for the upcoming school year

Note: Parent attendance during the 20-minute briefing is required for student participation.
